| Roman Numeral: | Logo & Year Only | The Iowa couple stopped by again after having enjoyed their table for awhile. This time they wanted to inquire about a built-in desk for the wife.
The desk is around ten feet long complete with upper cabinets. It was made with Black Walnut. The design incorporated all the functionality she required. Some of the upper cabinet doors contained authentic seeded glass which really looked nice on the finished unit. Kathy and a very young Ben did the final field measurements for this desk as I was just swamped with work. She also verified the desired features. The desk was delivered and installed unfinished. However, no pictures were ever taken. This inspired a visit in 2009 to get the pictures. We were sad to learn that one of the couple had passed on just a few years before this visit. I want to thank the family for allowing us to come and photograph those pieces that I missed all those years ago. Some 33 years later, the desk looks just beautiful with its aged patina. |
